100 Followers Special: Tell Me About Your Blog (Etc.)

Exciting news! Recently, I had the pleasant surprise of discovering that somehow, my little blog has made it to 100 followers. I’m both excited and humbled. Pop Culture Literary would be a lot less fun to write without readers, considering that I can just think to myself all day instead of writing it all down! I have a blast creating content on this blog, and hopefully you all enjoy reading it.

As thanks for joining me on this exploration of pop culture and literary devices (and sometimes grammar), I wanted to create a special celebratory blog about YOU!

Do you have a great blog, Instagram, Google+ page, DeviantArt, or other internet space that you’re proud of and want to show off? Do you have a favorite internet content creator who you’d like to brag about? Come share it in the comments! You can share a specific piece from the site, or just leave us a link to the main page.

You don’t have to be a regular reader of Pop Culture Literary or even a subscriber to participate. I love seeing what other people are creating out there.

I’ll do my best to give each share a shout-out on Twitter.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Awesome! Congratulations on the milestone!

I’m not one to apss up a chance for self-promotion so …

htto://www.mattdoylemedia.com – My main site is a mix bag of stuff. It was originally set up to advertise my own novels and show off some cosplay pieces, but over time it’s grown. Now, I still cover my own stuff, but I also do posts about anime, books, comics, films, manga, video games, and whatever else comes to mind. maybe it’ll be a review, or maybe an article. Maybe it’ll be an interview with an author, or a spotlight on a product. It’s all there though!

As a bonus, it’s linked on the main webpage, but there’s also … https://www.deviantart.com/mattdoylemedia … where I psot photos from my cosplays, plus art when I have the time. 🙂

    1. Thanks for sharing about your blog. I didn’t know that that’s how you started out! I’ve often enjoyed your posts when I’ve managed to catch them (I’m far far behind on reading anyone’s blogs right now…). I’m excited to see your Deviant art 🙂

    1. Thank you! Even though I’m far behind on reading blogs, I’ve been enjoying your posts quite a bit! I look forward to reading more soon 🙂 Like the Mages, you always introduce me to games I am unfamiliar with and don’t have time to play.

      1. You’re welcome!

And thanks. I’ve also been seeing a lot of critically acclaimed films lately so I can say whether or not they lived up to the hype. I’ve made it a point to see ones that get released to a limited number of theaters to give readers a taste of what to expect.

    About my blog…

I’m valleygirlwalking. I was a faithful wife who one day had the rug pulled out from beneath her and lost everything in one fleeting moment when I found out my husband was being unfaithful. As a Christian, divorce wasn’t something I wanted in my life, but it happened. I am not the first and I definitely won’t be the last.

With church ethics set aside around the issue of divorce, I want to help others explore the uncomfortable reality of being in a situation that you didn’t want but have been been thrust into and how we can come out of it the other side, faith intact, if not stronger.

If you want to join me on my journey through the valley of unwanted divorce then please visit my blog:

    1. Thanks for sharing about your blog! This sounds like an amazing and important journey in blogging, and a great platform to share it in. Other people who are struggling with difficult problems that they never saw coming, especially those that conflict with personal values, often benefit from reading stories shared by other people who have experienced similar life trials. I’m sorry to hear that that happened to you, but I’m glad you’re here!

  3. New to your blog but very nice hitting the big 100! I have a small upstart blog I’ve been working on for the past few years called Pop Culture Christianity where I use my love for pop culture and the Bible to illustrate random things in my life or random things in the world. It’s found at jneal0@wordpress.com I to make it kinda funny with a side of human emotion and scripture. Come check it out and help me stop speaking to the walls…cause they might start talking back….😜

    1. Thank you for stopping by! It sounds like pop culture has provided a good medium for you to explore your religion. I love that pop culture allows us each to explore such vastly different aspects of our individual lives. Best of luck in your blogging endeavors!

      1. It is being transformed into a kind of holding pen for a print journal (and probably a more formal online version of the print edit). It happened quickly. Because I had it already, and no one else did.

So, yeah, slowly I will have less direct control over it. It’s OK though. At that point, if I don’t have to run it, I’ll open another one under a different name.

But all pieces are signed though. And any for the print journal will have a green square logo mark on them.

Thanks for taking an interest! Are you interested in writing in pop culture?

Pop culture is global in appeal after all. And please forgive delays in replies. ^_^/💚💜

        1. Sounds like an interesting process! Kind of a bummer that it took over your personal blog, but it sounds like you don’t mind.

As for your question about whether I am interested in pop culture, I’m going to have to let my user name, blog title, and blog content answer that question for me. 😉
